Augusta – Georgia. The toughest ticket in sport.

It may be the youngest of the 4 mens majors but it makes up in mystique what it lacks in history. The smallest field of any major championship and the only major that has been played at the same course since its inception.

The winner dons the coveted Green Jacket in Butler cabin and then immediately starts to think about what he is going to serve at the Champions Dinner on the Tuesday of the event following his victory.

It is often said that the hills and slopes at Augusta are not really appreciated on TV and that is correct. As you walk down the hill of the North entrance, through the airport like security with small buildings and large trees overhanging the pathway you get a sense of what this place is like. It is truly special. Nothing is out of place. This is as close to perfection as you will find.

The immense merchandise building is on your right as you approach a clearing at the bottom of the hill and before you know it you are on the 1^st hole at Augusta National.
